CONSERVATION OF NATURAL VEGETATION AND WILDLIFE
Introduction
Natural vegetation in
general term for plant life of a region and wildlife refers to all non –
domesticated animals, and other organisms. Natural vegetation refers to a
plant community which has grown naturally without human aid. Crops cultivated
by man are not classified under natural vegetation. Natural vegetation is
also termed as ‘flora’. Wildlife can be found in all ecosystems, deserts,
forest, plains, and other areas. Wildlife is also termed as ‘fauna’.

By 2025
as many as one fifth of all animal species may be lost forever. Extinction is
forever. We must act now. Time is running out. Every species has a role to play
in the ecosystem. So conservation of the ecosystem is essential.
